Incentives and Rebates

There are several incentives and financing options for upgrading and utilizing energy efficient measures in the San Juan Islands.

  • Orcas Power and Light Cooperative (OPALCO) offers generous consumer rebates on insulation, air sealing, high-efficiency heating systems, windows, and others.

  • Solar is supported through a state production incentive that is complimented by the local Member Owned Renewable Energy, or MORE program.

  • The Weatherization Assistance Program helps families within lower income brackets make permanent upgrades that improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

  • You can also check out the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency website to see if you qualify for any other incentives in your area.
