FAQ
To provide heat, the outdoor heat pump absorbs heat energy from the outside air and transfers it to the inside unit via the refrigerant. The refrigerant is compressed, increasing its temperature significantly when it reaches the indoor coil. A fan blows air over the heated coil to deliver warm air to the room. This heating process is much cleaner and better for the planet than burning fossil fuels, providing zero emissions.
With air conditioning, the process is reversed; the indoor evaporator unit absorbs and sends the room’s heat energy to the outdoor unit compressor. The vapor is condensed back into a cold liquid that cools and returns to the indoor unit coil. The fan blows across the cold coil to provide cool air.

OPALCO’S Switch It Up program offers financing terms of 2% over 10 years, and the loan is assessed to the meter and is repaid on the monthly power bill
Air filtering varies according to indoor unit specification, however, Mitsubishi Electric indoor units come standard with filters to trap allergens like dust, mites, pollen and other particles in the air
RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY:
As a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, Sage offers a 12 year non-transferable warranty on Mitsubishi equipment and parts and a 12 year labor warranty on the outdoor unit. Other equipment and parts (including condensate pumps, mounting hardware, line-sets, line-hides, etc.) carry a 1 year warranty from time of installation. Please inquire about additional warranties.
Installation duration varies depending on the specified system, but typically takes 1-3 days. After the initial equipment installation, we’ll have a day for electrical and an additional day for commissioning and orientation.
